The
1020 building, located
(map) in the SODO District of Seattle,
houses workspaces for a variety of artists and crafts people with
a wide range of creative disciplines including:
Fine
Art, Stained Glass, Poetry, Live Music, Installation Art, Digital
Media, Sculpture, Interior Design, Performance Art, Jewelry, Furniture
Design, Product Design, Electronic Music, Photography, Fashion Design,
Silks, Graphic Design, Jazz, and Architecture...
As resident artists, we have formed a community that collaborates
on projects, organizes art events, and provides a place for others
to come and express their creativity.
We
offer a monthly Open House, to coincide
with the Seattle Artwalk, held on the First Thursday of every month,
and regularly host guest artists to show work. The majority of resident
artists in the building are emerging and/or unrepresented, working
to develop their creative talents, and explore a variety of mediums.
This environment creates a strong sense of energy, which is breeding
an exciting community little known to the established Seattle Art
scene, but a delight to all those who have visited us in within
the last year.
