SODO ARTS PRESENTS: BATTLE ROYALE – ART WALK (Bout 2) – May 15th 10am-8pm
SODO ARTS is the united collective of artists and businesses in Seattle’s industrial neighborhood of SODO.  Battle Royale – Bout 2 continues the story we started last October with the ‘Rumble in Sodo’ Event. Which building can leave a knock out impression in your memory?  It will be a tough fight!  Six buildings open their doors to showcase over 75 artists and challenge them with compelling questions. 

In support of the event, sidewalk sales will line the streets of 1st Avenue South from Royale Brougham to Spokane Street.  Event sponsors include The Bemis Art Community, Somerset Properties, Occhio Café and Sodo Vino. 

The 1020 Building and Bemis are two of the most historic artist buildings in Seattle.

The 1020 Building
- 15+ Participating Artists Opening Their Studios
- Built in 1912
- 4 floors / Over 30,000 square feet /14ft ceilings
- Houses numerous artists and businesses
- Converted from a warehouse in the 1990’s

The Bemis Building
- 15+ Participating Artists Opening Their Studios
- Built in early 1990’s
- Massive 5 story / 150,000 square feet / 15ft ceilings
- Founded by Judson Moss Bemis for fabricating cloth.
- Live/Work Studios
